Завершен еще один трудоемкий этап по улучшению звучания сайта! Теперь HQ BTM Player-V4 работает напрямую с базой данных — атрибуты треков вносятся в таблицу, плеер считывает их автоматически. Но главное, что скрипт плеера теперь загружается на сайт с помощью относительно простой программы, тогда как до этого он грузился с помощью внешнего плагина (многофункциональной программы у которой использовалась только небольшая часть ее потенциала). Звук при этом, естественно, страдал.
Те, кому интересны нюансы компьтерного звука, могут еще раз сравнить звук обновленного плеера БТМ с оригинальным плеером Вордпрес здесь. Эстеты и владельцы удачных с точки зрения звука компьютеров и операционных систем могут оценить здесь еще более тонкую разницу между воспроизведением на сайте и напрямую в браузере.

A small bug found on the page, using the latest Google Chrome browser on Mac OS. Using the HQ player, it is not possible to skip between tracks. Clicking on a future track simply plays the first one in the list.

I tested the player on https://app.lambdatest.com with latest Mac OS Sequoia and Chrome 131 — everything works there as it should be. Please suggest the Mac OS and Chrome version you are using.
Sina, probably it was the cache issue. I forgot to change the version in the JS file I was editing, so some browsers could use the old one stored in the cache. I fixed it, try skipping between tracks now.

Sina, could you open Chrome dev tools «ctrl+shift+i» (https://developer.chrome.com/docs/devtools), click on «Console» then refresh the BTM page first by pushing «ctrl+r» (soft page reload) then by «ctrl+F5» (hard page reload, purging all the cache) and see if any errors appear in the console window.
I tested everything, I found that in incognito, skipping the tracks works. Therefore it must be related to a browser extension, or perhaps the fact that my settings automatically translate the site into English on page load.

Anton, there is an issue with the website and caching on Google Chrome. Every time to see the latest articles (on the home page) and comments (in the side panel) I have to manually clear the cache for the website.
Maybe there is an issue with browser extensions, I’m not sure.

I tested this on a Mac Book Pro with Chrome and Safari — both browsers failed to refresh pages by default. It turns out that Apple-based browsers don’t see the Cache-Control «no-cache» HTML header, which tells the browser not to save the cache. I added some code to the server, checked the result, and now everything seems to be fine.
PS — Chrome is very heavy and has bad sound, don’t use it to listen to BTM. Even Safari sounds better. As for mobile Apple browsers — try Duck Duck Go, it is relatively lightweight and sounds good.
Thanks! I agree Chrome is heavy and only use it out of laziness. On the old Mac, it’s necessary to use it for YouTube because the Safari is so old it will hang the entire system.

I tried it and it sounds 5-10% clearer than Safari, I think. Plus it has a nice user interface.
I use Linux Mint, it’s a pity but they don’t have Mint support..
Sina, thank you very much for the link to the Min browser! To my ears, it turned out to be the best browser in Windows in terms of sound quality. Now I listen to everything only in this browser.

Во время печати искомого слова в дополнительном окне выводятся подсказки из таблицы, которая содержит описание всех аудио файлов на сайте. Используются данные из столбцов ‘Composer’, ‘Title’, ‘Opera’, ‘Performer’, ‘Instrument’, ‘Conductor’, ‘Orchestra’, ‘Label’, ‘Matrix_No’. При воспроизведении найденных треков в заголовке поиск-плеера отображается название поста в котором этот трек был найден и линк на этот пост.
